Sit -> Stand

Ella can now pull herself from sitting to standing. She had been doing it for over a month if she was holding onto our hands but she has finally realized she can pull herself up on the coffee table or some of her toys. She also goes from sitting to a crawl position and back quite often now. Still no real crawling though. She did take a couple of crawl “steps” 2 days ago to get on my laptop but it has not been repeated. Even if I try to lure her with the laptop or the cordless phone.

Anyway, back to the good stuff Sarah posts.  🙂

First trip to the zoo

Ella and I went to the zoo today for the first time.  She seemed to have a good time looking around and taking it all in.  We saw a baboon, some tigers, a couple of sea lions, a leopard, and some fish.  She really enjoyed watching the sea lions and fish swim by.  But her favorite was this big stuffed polar bear.  I think she thought it was a Samoyed.  She got a big grin when she saw it, just like the one she gets when she sees Lily and Claire.

Up on all fours

Elizabeth has started to push herself up onto her hands and knees.  She then sits there for a few seconds and then puts her head on the floor and starts to cry.  I told her she was never going to crawl if she just sat there and didn’t move her arms or legs.  She answered with even more crying.  What a crybaby!  🙂
